Kim and Linds On Tour.

Monday 30th June

I've was so busy wallowing in my own misery that I forgot to remind you to check your boobs!! Sorry about that!! BOOB CHECK!!!

Chemo number two has not been too bad. It all kicked in on day three but not quite as powerful as the first time around. I should keep a dairy of it really as I'm actually struggling to remember that first week. This, in cancer world is called "chemo brain". My memory has been terrible (it wasn't that great in the first place). We all get to the top of the stairs and wonder why we went up there right? Well I'm doing that 15 times a day. I'm forgetting what I'm talking about half way through a sentence and I drove through a red light the other day!! I've never done that before!! Or maybe I have, I can't remember.

The oncologist said that the fatigue would get worse and I would say for the first week that was true. She also said that my mouth would get worse too. I have definitely noticed that my mouth feels a little sore, my teeth feel funny. I've been lucky so far though, I hear that some have to go into hospital because their mouth gets so sore they can't eat or drink. How awful would that be? I really think that my diet is helping with the side effects, especially my Nutribullet. Nutribullets are the way forward, you must get one. The thing that is bugging me the most is the aches and pains. My joints, bones and muscles are aching, I feel about 80. These aches don't help with the paranoia about it being somewhere else too. I keep having to remind myself that this is a side effect of chemo. Not pleasant.

Anyhoo, my lovely friend Lindsay arranged for us to stay in the "L.H.H" (Luxury Holiday Home - a posh caravan to you and I) in Conwy this weekend. It was bliss. We spent the weekend chilling out, watching films, eating good food and relaxing on the beach. The L.H.H is in such a good spot, overlooked by a lovely green mountain, where daredevil sheep hang out (how those sheep don't fall off that mountain is beyond me).

I could so live in a L.H.H, so cosy. I might put this on my "What the f**k am I going to to with my life after cancer" list. The list keeps changing and getting bigger.

It was lovely to sit on a beach, we didn't expect it to be so hot. Unfortunately I have to be careful in the sun as chemo makes your skin more sensitive. I've never really had a good tan but I think this year I will probably have the best tan I've ever had. I seem to be catching the sun so quickly. Woo hoo every cloud!!

Thanks Lindsay, for such a lovely weekend. xxx

While I've got an audience, does anyone recognise this crockey? If so where is it from?  I've got an obsession with it. As seen on Saturday Kitchen. (Yep I took a picture of the tele)
