The Head Shave Gathering and Happy Birthday to me!!!

Sunday 8th June

What a lovely weekend!! The head shave gathering took place on Saturday night round at Emma's. My lovely hairdresser Gemma, who has been cutting my hair for years came over to do the deed, she was amazing.

It was really relaxed, with nibbles and champagne and the girls made me my own throne! Most of my bezzies were there, just a few missing due to living at the other end or out of the country. Due to my fear of my hair growing back as a ginger afro the girls wore wigs to make me feel at home. So so funny, check out the photo!!

There are so many brilliant photo's, I would love to post them all on here, but there are too many. I have selected my favourites.

The shave happened in stages. I wanted to try an Emili Sande mowhawk, which I absolutely loved! I might have it like this when it grows back, I think its really cool!

For my birthday celebration we had a meal at the Artichoke. (My birthday is actually tomorrow). It was lovely. I wanted to go today as I fancied a Sunday Roast. This was my first outing with my new head. I kept forgetting about it so was a bit of a shock when I went to the loo and saw myself in the mirror. I quite like my new head. I think I'm quite lucky that I can get away with it. Won't be like this for too long though. I reckon I have about another week of hair, if that. The scarves are coming out soon!!!

Well I've lost my real boobs and pretty much lost my hair. There isn't really much to lose now, apart from my nails, they may come off at the latter end of chemo. I'm taking care of them and keeping them painted a dark colour to help protect them.

I've got one more week of feeling pretty normal until Chemo round two. I plan to enjoy it.
